I would say I have a small head. I even measured (22" circumference. I just checked and the hat says it's 21-23" circumference. So you'd think it would fit. it measures only 21" making the adjustable strap in the back useless. I liked how it fit. Mine didn't come with the clip things to change to a cowboy style but I didn't care because I don't like that style anyways. The hat fit my 5 year old son fine and my 2 year old a little loose and therefore the adjuster worked. I would've given it to them but it was pink and they don't like pink. So I returned it. bummed cuz I was really happy with the hat except it being too tight. I would've gotten a headache in just a few minutes of wearing it. If you have a smaller than 21" head it will be great for you or if you buy it for a child.
