Well, I have one of those cats that gnaws on power cords. I can't even describe how many cords she chewed through - alarm clocks, lamps, and all the cords to charge our phones. I was almost certain that one day I would find her roasted (just like Aunt Bethany's cat during the National Lampoon's Christmas break). I've tried chewable sprays and they seemed to get her to chew more. I bought braided charging cables for our phones. But I was hoping for ANY help to get her to stop chewing and then I stumbled upon these sleeves. These sleeves are easy to install and can usually wrap more than one cable at a time, which is useful for TVs (cable box and DVD players). Just open the case and tuck the cords inside. Knock on wood, my cat hasn't nibbled a single cord since I put everything in these cases! Make sure you have scissors for installation as you can cut them to any length you like. I bought the same item twice to match every open wire I could find! UPDATE May 2019: I've bought these cases twice now and they're on all my lights, tv's and every other exposed wire you can think of. So far, so good! They work to protect my cables and protect that crazy cat.
