Bought as a gift for my husband. He is delighted with the overall size, number of compartments, padded strap and overall versatility of the bag. He carries Rick Steve's duffel bag when he travels, and this Nicgid sling bag easily doubles as 'personal carry-on'. It contains many things - an iPad, a phone and charger, headphones, a large book, as well as a wallet, medication, a toothbrush, keys, a water bottle, a light jacket and maybe even a change of clothes in case of a delay. Easy access to travel documents. The loop at the top allows you to carry the bag in your hand or hang it on a hook. The strap can be moved from left to right. The fabric feels very strong and durable. Even though the instructions say the bag should be spot cleaned (rather than washed), the army green shouldn't have a lot of dirt on it. Carrying a backpack on the front of the body over the shoulder is much more secure than a bag and offers better balance. Can also be used as a daypack or daypack. I compared several different brands - Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, REI - before settling on this one. My husband really likes it. I would also like to!
