Game console stand!

I have many game consoles that I have purchased over the years. Some consoles I immediately bought in the store, others - at flea markets and the like. I have long wanted to use most of them to play them. The problem was finding the right material. I couldn't find any wooden shelving that would work without rework and the rework was very expensive and labor intensive which was a shame for me. So I started looking for other types of shelving. . Wire shelves became attractive because they were lightweight, relatively inexpensive, and easy to assemble. That's why I said to measure all the consoles to make sure I'm getting the shelf that's best for everything. The only sufficiently wide shelves I could find were 14 inch Kousi squares. Most metal shelving is square, so standing brackets have no advantage as the dimensions are the same on both sides. Later Microsoft and Sony consoles require the full 14 inches. Some other metal dice stand manufacturers advertised 14 inches, but it was actually 13.8, which wouldn't work. Cubes have real advantages for this application. List of advantages: 1.) Since the metal grill is open, it is ideal for cooling everything. 2.) Kousi squares are rated to weigh 30 pounds, which is plenty. I got the weight of each console I was going to use to make sure it would work, especially considering point 3.3.) While 14 inches of space in width and depth was required, 14 inches in height was not required. This was a problem with the wooden shelves, which made the shelves for the staging area too expensive for me. And this is where the koushi cubes shone. Using 12" nylon wire ties, I was able to easily place shelves inside the cube to fit more systems on a common stand. I made sure each cube was still within the weight limit and separated them with additional Kosey shelves. The 12" nylon zippers are rated at 50 pounds and I used 7 on each shelf for side-to-side and front-to-back stability (3 along the back, 2 on each side since the front is not supported). Thus, it is strong enough to support the systems. 4. The open nature of the cubes was also great for easy cable management. This was an important consideration when laying video cables and power cables. 5.) Finally, the strength of the stand with its light weight was important. I built 2 grandstands 5 high and 2 wide. I used 5 extra panels this way, but it made the stand much easier to move around and reach for cable management. The bottom set of dice is for storage, meaning I have 16 dice for console and controller storage. In general, the system at the Kousi stand is very easy to use. Almost all of my systems use wireless controllers. I switched everything to HDMI and a number of inexpensive switches that work very well and can be controlled remotely. I was able to use controller hangers inside and outside the cubes with nylon wire ties that do a really good job of organizing things. There are many ways to do what I've done, but this was the best I could find after years of research and trying. I have 29 consoles in my booth and there is still room for more stuff. Consoles that require space to insert cartridges, like the SNES and Genesis, have plenty of space. Top-loading hard drive systems like the GameCube, Saturn, and Dreamcast also have plenty of room. I highly recommend the Kousi Cubes. They are fairly easy to assemble but require some patience. Some come together more easily than others. I added nylon straps to the whole structure when I built it and it is very strong. I am very satisfied with this product.
