Review on Dr Collins Perio Toothbrush Colors by Erin Wright

Fine bristles cause irritation and pain in the gums.

The idea of these toothbrushes is great and I'm glad that so many people like them. However, I personally find that even after gentle brushing with these steam brushes, my gums and teeth hurt and even hurt. Every time I come across this I can't believe a small toothbrush can cause such a dull ache. My theory is that the bristles are so thin that they penetrate crevices and gums that would otherwise not be damaged by brushing. I have really healthy gums and teeth and no periodontal problems, so I am stunned when I feel pain after brushing my teeth. I've never experienced this with any other toothbrush, not even my Oral B electric. If you have healthy gums, use a regular toothbrush. Maybe it's only for those who have periodontal problems?
