The mats and saddle do what they are designed to do - protect the sink surface from damage. However, there is no suction; The product is not intended to be attached to the surface of the sink and there is no reason why this is required. Both the mats and the saddle fit together perfectly. Drainage holes for mats are easily cut with ordinary scissors. The only negative is the smell; the smell is terrible. I've only been using this product for a few days and the smell is either getting used to it or it goes away, but it's not as strong as it was originally. Anything that causes an unpleasant odor should be an integral part of the material's coating. I recently bought a non slip bath mat with the same bad smell.
