Review on Dowco Iron Rider 50149-00 Motorcycle Luggage Rain Hood: Waterproof, Universal Fit - Black by Jeff Jordan

Unlike many Dowco products, this one leaves something to be desired. First, it doesn't fit in almost all bags, including those sold by Dowco. Second, within the first 500 miles of my trip, one of the stitching started to unravel! I bought this to keep my pockets dry and used a bin bag due to a tear. It's more economical to buy a couple of 4 million black garbage bags and use black bungees to hold them. I've waited too long to take the journey to get this back. I think if you had used black rubber bands to secure the lid to keep it from dangling in the wind, the seam might not have come undone. It wasn't supposed to be anyway, but I guess that's why it started falling apart. Once it was covered with a garbage bag and tied tightly. No more trouble. If you're buying this, grab some rubber bands (preferably black) and make sure you put one up and the other 1/3 of the way up from the bottom and loosen the bag by curling up the edges. the direction pointing towards the rear of the bike.
