First of all I have to say that I LOVE self-illuminating reading glasses. This means, among other things, that I can read in bed without disturbing my wife with a bedside lamp. It also helped a lot when reading fine print, even in normal room lighting. I also use it for fine crafts in my woodworking workshop. Second, I had another similar product before. For some reason they last longer with a significant battery change. However, I would recommend buying some batteries in bulk when purchasing these specs. Don't wait for the LED to turn off to change the batteries. I change when they get boring enough for me to notice, and every time I do I'm like, 'Wow! I should have changed them a while ago, which is great."
