After I broke my wireless mouse when it jumped off my laptop while moving to another room, I wanted a leash. It really works. It may fall, but it will never hit the ground. It has a long cord so I keep it short enough so it doesn't hit the ground. And the colors it displays make it easy to find even in the dark. I liked that it was plug and play, with no training or setup required.
