SOFT! We bought the Age Six for our boy who is on his fifth birthday. He weighs 46 pounds and is 46 inches tall. Most of his clothes are 5T, sometimes 6T or 6, mostly XS or S depending on the brand. This shirt is quite long in the body and sleeves. She stretches gently. so it will be comfortable when our son grows up.
