On the one hand, these are well constructed jeans in a thicker, tough denim. I had hoped these would be useful for my husband when he's welding around the ranch - sort of a safer choice for sparks.Unfortunately, the jeans are NOT a 40 waist despite the label. He got them on, but couldn't button or zip them. We held them up to his Wranglers size 40 to double check. The waistband here 2as significantly shorter so these are probably an actual 36. I'm not sure if they are mismarked or badly measured, but they are smaller than they should be.
