These coasters look like ceramic in a dainty little holder. I think they'll probably break if you drop them, but I don't plan on doing that. They are packaged in an attractive box (which thanks to its shape is easy to pack). I only mention the box because I bought myself some tile coasters in the same order and they weren't in the boxes, just bubble wrap. My gun-loving husband loves them.
