these are really nice glass containers, the lids close well and securely. However, like other reviewers, I found a shard of glass in one of the bowls. I thoroughly washed each lid and container before use thanks to the reviews I read, but the first time I used a large round container I was having lunch at work and found an inch-long piece of glass in my food ! Luckily I saw it, especially as I had already eaten most of my meal! It was very strange because I couldn't figure out where the shard came from. It wasn't until a few weeks later that I picked up one of the small, round containers and, putting it in my cupboard, felt the sharp edge, a piece of which must have broken off. Now I'm paranoid about these containers!
