This is a really great little bed for small spaces. Very durable and high quality wood/finish. The instructions say it takes two people to assemble, but I assembled it myself. It might have been more convenient to have a second person hold the railing in place while I put the screws in, but if you're good at packing things you can certainly do it yourself. The mattress that came with the crib is thin, but I ordered a mini crib mattress that fits the crib perfectly. out. Since this crib converts to a double bed, I understand why the railing needs to be designed in a way that the box doesn't fit. If the front railing for the cot is removed, there is definitely space underneath for a storage box. I would buy this crib or any other crib from this manufacturer again. Very satisfied. I gave the crib four stars for assembly because I did it myself. I think two people working together would definitely get five stars in this category.
