If possible, it's better to buy :) books with epub\mobi\fb2 formats with conversion, but in principle you can live with pdf. Zooming on the Kindle does not work very accurately (limited scaling options), so reading in vertical orientation for people with poor eyesight is not very classy, ​​but still acceptable. If you understand that it is not very convenient, you can change the orientation of the book to horizontal, and then one page is divided into ~ 2.5, but the font size is much more comfortable. If you plan to read pdfs, then this version of Paperwhite is much preferable to the rest of the Kindles, if, like me, you do not really want an e-book from another brand.
