Suitable for 2005 Porsche Boxster 987, fine fit. Lighter and bluer than the original. Good buy.

Installed Alla LED fog lights on Porsche Boxster S model 987 2005. Replaced the factory original fog lights with Alla Lighting 5200 lumens (2600 per bulb) AL-R H8 Extreme Super Bright 6K Color, Xenon White. There were no code errors on the dashboard display, so I didn't need load resistors. Much brighter and bluer than standard bulbs. You look great. Installation was difficult due to the Porsche design and the fact that the Alla bulb base is larger than the original. Installation: Remove the two screws underneath the plastic light bracket, then fiddle with the bracket until it pops out of the bumper. Remove the connector from the old bulb (press both tabs at the same time, then pull the connector). Twist and remove the old bulb. If the old red rubber O-ring is still in the lamp connector hole, remove it - the new red O-ring is already installed in the Alla lamp. Insert and secure the new Alla bulb, then loosen the bulb base using the small Allen key provided. You can now turn the flat tab with the two LED chips. Look inside the light - if you orient the bar so that one LED is up and the other is down, you won't be able to put the light back into the car. Instead, orient the tab so that the two LED chips are facing left and right. This is important: Also, choose an orientation where the connector and cable are pointing towards the bottom of the front panel - if they're pointing horizontally, the mount won't fit. Now lock the LED tab by tightening the Allen screw. Attach the cap to the lamp base. This is a good time to start the car and make sure the new bulb is working. Now for the next subtle step: To bring the light back into the car, you do it like this: The black plastic cylinder sticks out behind the light, almost in the middle. Place this plastic cylinder on the end of the horizontal track in the car's bumper opening. Note the small tab on the back of the flat outer mounting tab - it should line up with the small hole in the bumper. Now carefully slide the lamp up along the rail into the opening in the bumper, making sure that the small tab finally aligns with the opening in the bumper. (If you don't use the guide rail as above, I guarantee the light will not fit properly.) The two screw tabs under the light should now line up with the corresponding screw tabs in the bumper hole. Make sure the light is in the correct position, then put it back in place and tighten the screws. Test light again. Hope you have success!
