Review on Comply Cancelling Audio Technical QuietComfort Replacement by Jasmine Davis

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Quality but no craftsmanship

I came across these when I was looking for a good pair of replacement headphones. Overall, they met my needs, but have some glaring flaws. Pros: Comfortable noise-cancellation Cons Lack of durability Price Amount Per Pack Pros first: Once you find the right size (Medium is standard, but I found small to best suit my needs), they fit like a DREAM. We speak like a glove, no pinching, digging, painful sucking (like a rubber style), pressure or anything else. A little prep work to get them in (think earplugs) but once in and filled they are awesome. In addition to their obvious comfort, they provide a barrier to the outside world and block out enough noise to allow you to be fully immersed in whatever you're listening to: music, books, movies, games, you name it. I don't feel any interference with the design or any limitations preventing me from hearing every aspect of what the music is playing. Cons: Including my first purchase, I (embarrassingly) ordered 3 of these sets. My 1st set, 2nd set in a smaller size and 3rd to try on a different pair of headphones. 1st set from 1st purchase started falling apart after 3 weeks of use. I was shocked; I use them every day but there have been no dents, not in a gym bag, not near sharp objects or anything else. They will only be used for the intended purpose. Thinking it was an accident, I picked up another set. To my surprise, they didn't last 3 weeks, but a WEEK. Frustrated, I looked through the product and saw that size does matter and medium is a standard size...maybe not for me. So I bought a set of 2 and 3, one in the same style, a small size, and another in a different style, also a small size, just in case I get a lemon. Like the previous pair, the two new pairs were comfortable, still provided a great soundproofing barrier, and seemed to be holding up well. Then today, just 4 weeks after I bought them, I noticed a tear in one of the pairs. As good as they are and they cover my 2 main points, I can't justify $30 for 3 pairs that only last a week each. Few. Standard earbuds last longer than these and not nearly as long. Problem #3, quantity. I can only get 3 headphones for $10 a pair. If it was 10-15 pairs I could understand it a little better but the price, number of sets and quality of the product resulting in poor durability for all 3 purchases is just not normal for me. Keep looking for something that will hopefully match the comfort and noise-cancelling features they have while also lasting longer, at a better price per package.
