The adhesive didn't stick well, but maybe that's because I put it on the cabinet door frame and not the wall? I am not sure. There were several adhesive clips in the package. I used them to hold it in place where the glue wouldn't stick. The adhesive on the motion sensor wouldn't stick at all, but that could also be my installation on a painted door frame. Also, the first few times I tried to turn on the light it didn't seem to pick it up. . But now I have no problem with it. Overall I am satisfied with this product. I'm a craft lover at heart, so I didn't mind adapting it to my needs. I truly believe that many of my problems are just user error. This product has brightened up my dark corner in my closet and I am happy with the results.
