I have to say I really like these speakers. I received mine in white. You get exactly what is advertised and even a little more quality than is typical for this price range. Make sure you are using a good quality receiver/amplifier that meets the required specs and good speaker wiring or as with all speakers you will not get the best out of them. This could explain a lot of the negative reviews here. I hooked mine up to a Sony STRDH590 and it's just these speakers for now. There's a little more power at the bottom end than I imagined, and there's sometimes an imbalance created depending on what you're hearing or seeing. Watching TV or cinema, you'll find that it can definitely use filler from a pre-built Jamos installation. Over time at this price point I will be buying a subwoofer, centerpiece, surround sound system and Atmos speakers to complement the sound for movies. But with just those two, I'm happy enough that I don't feel like I need to rush it. So if you're on a budget, I recommend starting with these two. The sound might not be as smooth at the moment, but I'm glad I chose it over the new soundbar. It's clear enough and seems at the right level for me as I live in a condo style attached house. It should be noted that one of my speakers has a small damage. I bumped them against the door frame a bit when I put them back on. It's hard for me to tell where the mark came from because it was such a light brush, but it's the only thing that comes close to hitting on something that I was responsible for. I didn't notice the label for a long time, so I'm not sure if it was me or the packaging, which also looked like it had been opened. It's more of a seller's problem. In any case, keep in mind that even if they deliver good sound, materials and finishes may not be of the highest quality to withstand bumps or falls. However, I love the speakers so much that I didn't want to take the time to return them as the imperfection is minor and not worth wasting time without!
