Installation Easy installation, limited capacity

Installing the hinges was easy. I used two on a lid 3/4" thick, 18" wide and 14" deep. The hinges work as advertised in the open and closed position. The damping mechanism is limited. When the box lid closes, the weight/weight decreases Force applied to the hinge so much that the hinge cannot slow down enough to close, resulting in a popping sound If the soft close is too tight, it will be difficult to lift and then close.
