Review on 🎧 Experience True Wireless Freedom with Audio Technica ATH-DSR9BT Over-Ear Headphones by Wiktor Lipski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

The sound is clear, with a stage (ie - voluminous). Even from an iPhone with its rather "narrow" AAC codec, they sound very good. I ordered a Blutooth transmitter-receiver with aptx hd (LEVN) connected to the AK-240 - and I listen on the road. Ideally, you need a source with Aptx-HD support. I ordered a fresh creation from iRiver in a good Hong Kong online store, called Activo CT 10. Especially for these headphones and the road. When connected to a computer via USB and Foobar2022, the sound is close to ideal. There is something to compare: I own Audeze LCD-X, Fostex TH 900. There were many other good headphones. When buying compared with competitors on Aptx-HD: 1. Sony -1000x m2 - synthetic sound, for me - disgusting. 2. B&W PX - the sound is juicy, bassy, but there is no stage, everything is in one point. Not for symphonic music and jazz, where the stage is everything. 3. B&O H9i - I didn’t understand at all what they want 500 dollars for - some kind of crap, not HD sound. Ringing high and flat sound. Noize cancelling is missing here. For me, not the most necessary feature - it greatly spoils the sound. The natural sound isolation of these headphones allows you to enjoy your music on an airplane. I don't walk down the street in them. That's what in-ear headphones are for. I got used to the play-pause touch sensor quickly. This strange feature does not spoil the impression of the headphones for me. Summary: if there is an opportunity to buy at a normal price (not 47 thousand, but about 30), you need to take it. : They eventually made friends with an Android tablet. Via OTG cable, USB Audio Player Pro. The sound through the cable is not much different from the wireless (I have not felt the difference yet). I also bought an Activo CT 10 player (supports Aptx HD). It also works via Bluetooth and wired. The sound is very good.

Pros
  • Sound ! I have never heard better from wireless headphones. Lightweight and comfortable on the head.
Cons
  • So far, it's not possible to make friends with an android device via a USB cable. It's a bit hot to sit in them for a long time. The ear pads could be made of genuine leather, and not "eco-leather" - which is ordinary leatherette. In 2022, the greed of retailers has raised the price to unrealistic heights ($750). In the US, they cost $549 - a fair price. You can find even cheaper at a "famous-online-auction" ( not sure if it's not a hoax )
