VIVOHOME Electric Ice Shaver Snow Cone Maker is a good all-purpose ice crusher/shaver for home or commercial use. At its coarsest setting (full counter-clockwise setting), it produces crushed ice about the thickness of soft drinks sold in a typical fast food joint, and quite quickly. But as you start turning the dial in the direction of finer tuning (i.e. clockwise), it shrinks more and more slowly. And if you turn the wheel all the way clockwise (i.e. all the way) it won't crush anything. It just makes sounds like it's about to go off. I'm still looking for the best setup to produce finely crushed ice for snowballs without sacrificing speed and crushing efficiency. But I suspect if you need very finely crushed ice for the best Hawaiian shavings, you probably want to buy a commercial ice shaver made just for the purpose. A general purpose icebreaker like this would be a compromise between making coarser ice for drinks and finer ice for snowballs.
