I bought 2 rolls of this paper for a kitchen project and attached part of it to a stovetop ceiling fan. I took a close look and it's super polished stainless steel, you couldn't come home and tell me it's not stainless steel. Also, it's not dull or matte stainless steel like you might think, it's a really nice polished and polished look. Do the installation very slowly and it is advisable to have a special device for removing bubbles and be sure to measure exactly what you need, it will not hurt. This is definitely a two person job as the paper doesn't stretch or bend very much and you need one hand to do the intricate work. You definitely don't need spray adhesive as I found this contact paper to be pretty darn sticky, especially on the stovetop which is amazing. I only recommend that you don't use this on the walls as it will chip the paint if you try to take it off. I didn't complete my project and removed the paper just because its brilliance coupled with my brightly lit kitchen, on top of the stove, didn't work. I returned the roll I wasn't using and kept the first roll and also found the best spot for the paper in my kitchen. I'm going to dress up my toaster and coffee maker, luckily this stainless steel colored paper is so versatile. 5 stars although I didn't originally use it for its intended purpose because it has such a bright shine and I need to find something else. This product is really good and I will be using it for small projects in my personal kitchen.
