I looked at many photos and videos before purchasing this cat so I knew what to expect and what I got was pretty much what I expected. Fur is nice and soft. Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't have any hair loss issues. Maybe it was an old issue being fixed, or maybe I just got lucky. I trimmed a few long, thin strands of hair around the snout that seemed to be falling off and enhanced what was left. The muzzle is cute, but it doesn't strike me as feline. The tongue is a strange paper-like thing sewn down the middle to the bottom of the mouth; The one I have was complicated but I was able to straighten it out. The eyes are beautifully blue, but I understand why some people find them creepy. I think the thick fur over it might have given the face a sinister expression. I found that if I move the fur just a little, the facial expression becomes cute. What made me buy it was a YouTube video called "1000 Subscribers to MilkywayMaggie" where a young girl uses this doll as a character and she is very attractive. What really strikes me as ugly is how bow-legged it is. I went as far as doing a google search to see if true ragdoll cats have bowlegs, but that doesn't seem to be the case. One person complained that the mouth was too small to fit a hand in. If you try to use it like a sock puppet, it's true. Instead, you should place your middle finger on the bottom of your mouth and your index and ring fingers on top. There really should be instructions on the label that came with it so people don't get upset. In general, I am very glad that I bought this cat. It is comfortable, comfortable and soft. If only his face was a little more realistic, I'd be even happier. UPDATE: After a few weeks I fell in love with this cat. The bow-legged front legs allow him to flex his paws under his chin when he's lying down, which looks pretty realistic, so I think I've changed my mind about that. And the face seems more and more feline to me.
