This is a great pair of lightweight, beautiful shoes that can be worn on many occasions. There is a slight reinforcement in the toe area. This reinforcement is very unobtrusive and prevents you from hitting table legs or other objects with your foot. The shoes breathe well and keep your feet warm in most conditions. I use mine for a pair of comfy slip on shoes, but these shoes offer a very classy look for any casual social occasion. The tread on the bottom has enough grip to prevent slipping, but not so pronounced that the shoe becomes heavy. This is a very good pair of dock boots or indoor shoes.
