Transparent and light. But I advise against buying it. 1) It is too clear that scratches remain on it so easily. I had to remove it after half a month as there were obvious ugly scratches. Please see my photos. I don't even carry my laptop with me, I usually use it at home. 2) it keeps your laptop really hot. After taking it off, my laptop doesn't get so hot that I can't even type on it. I would just buy a bag for my laptop and be careful with it. It's actually not that easy to make a scratch on a Mac, so you don't need a case.
