I have bought 8-12 of these belts over the last 10 years and every single one has been heavily used. Some of the ones I bought just wore out and others were bought in different lengths as my weight fluctuated. Here are the lowdown on this particular ranger style belt. 1) The belt looks good. 2) Made of leather, but a little thin in places. 3). As some other people have noted. A buckled belt will eventually tear and fail at the stress point where the belt hole meets the buckle clasp. You can see some pictures of it in other reviews 4). This type of belt is quite difficult to find. The Nocana brand is the only one I could find that makes these beautiful. Finally, having just received my last two, I found that the buckle was coming off. This is the first time I see this. The buckle is obviously electroplated and very thin. With a little pressure, the silver coating of the buckle simply comes off. I see that underneath the cheap metal plating is what looks like copper metal. It may be a copper colored conductive coating. Definitely look at the picture and you will understand what I mean. how cheap is it Luckily I still have a few buckles from previous belts. so i just turned it off. If I didn't have that replacement dollar, I would return this belt for a refund. For $40 the buckle should be of better quality. Hence two stars! Instead of all that. I still love the belt, I wear it almost every day.
