The rubber ear pads of headphones can easily peel off over time and become lost. However, Sony has always been like this (I previously used wired ones). The package includes odd foam ear pads, but they don't stay in my ears at all, and I'm not sure what they're supposed to be used for. There are four sizes of regular silicone available. You can pick ones that work well. In this day and age, it would be absurd to expect anything else than USB type-C. When the sound occasionally stops coming from one or two headphones, putting them back in the case and taking them out again can assist. It might be the iPhone.
