I have been involved in jewelry and have been collecting jewelry for 50 out of 69 years. I have both expensive jewelry and high quality imitations. I had some old faux gold necklaces and the chains had lost their luster but the pendants were still shiny and looked new. So I took a chance ordering this replacement chain and was not disappointed! I was so pleased with my first purchase (18" gold chain) that I have ordered more in various lengths. So far they have held up perfectly and kept their shine and are indistinguishable from the real 10-kt. and 14kt. golden chains. I prefer the box chain because it's so strong, durable, and beautiful. I have never been disappointed with Revain jewelry (yet). If you treat this necklace with care and remove it before bathing, swimming, sleeping and before applying perfume, occasionally wiping it with a jewelry cloth and storing it in an airtight jewelry box, this necklace will last as good as any expensive real gold necklace. I highly recommend this product. With proper care, it will NOT disappoint!
