Very comfortable luxury mouse with great features but a few silly design choices

I chose a premium mouse because I spend so much time with it in my hands. This one is very comfortable - probably the most comfortable I've ever used. My hand doesn't feel tired or sore after a few hours of use like most other mice do. The thumb protrusion takes some getting used to, but makes it even more comfortable to use. If you have RSI, tendonitis, or just plain pain or discomfort after a long movement, this is a great solution. Tracking is smooth and accurate. There are no objections in this regard. Bluetooth pairing is excellent. No latency and no response after not using the mouse for a few seconds or minutes. It reacts like a wired mouse. And that both under Linux and under Windows. The MX Master 2S has a few downsides, but nothing I can't live with: 1. The mouse wheel does NOT have side buttons. I'm VERY used to her and still miss her. It's hard to believe that such a high-end mouse doesn't have it.2. The thumbwheel, which is intended to replace the side buttons of the mouse wheel, works completely differently and is not a replacement for them. I used them to switch between virtual desktops. If you do this with the wheel, you'll get sick as the desktops fly by. No matter how hard you try to use the wheel to do what you used to do with the buttons, nothing will work. You will end up missing and scrolling backwards no matter what.3. The two "extra" buttons next to the wheel have a really horrible design. They are shaped like long opposing wedges and your thumb naturally rests on the underside and hits it with the side of your thumb. On the other hand, the top button requires you to both raise your thumb and pull it back significantly to press it, so the motions to press the two buttons aren't symmetrical, parallel, or mirrored - they're quirky. And if you try to press the top button, you're still pressing the wheel 4 out of 5 times, among other things, because its larger end rests against the thumbwheel. Bad design! 4. The button to switch between computers is at the bottom, which makes it cumbersome. The button of the M720 Triathlon is very conveniently located so that the thumb can reach it without even looking.5. The mouse has no compartment or opening to store the USB receiver, making it very easy to lose it and even easier to just not take it anywhere. For me it has none of these flaws. I really want Logitech to release an MX Master 3S that meets points 1-5 above. That would be the best mouse ever! However, she is GOOD. I can't stress this enough.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Nothing here
