Ordered for my iPhone 7 Plus with a thin UAG protective case for the phone. A cell phone with a case fits easily in this belt holster, a bit tight but ok. The case comes with a pair of rings similar to those that ladies can attach to their purse if they wish. There are also belt loops on the back. But just a word of caution: I'm a male and would like to wear a belted holster. The problem arises from the fact that the belt loops on the hard back are attached too low, resulting in a kind of "high rise". It looks great on a belt, but when you're sitting on top of the case and the phone is on its side, just above the belt line. I'm not fat now, but like most older men, I have little love handles that don't help anyone. So unless you have a straight waist (who but teenagers?) you could be in trouble. When purchasing a case with a vertical strap, I recommend you look closely at the back and make sure the strap loops or other attachments are close to the top of the case. These hinges sit about 1 inch below the hard back of the case.
