Review on Black Widow ATV-CB-8015 Rear Rack Locking ATV Cargo Box by Todd Hauff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended.

This rear storage box is a perfect addition to my 2002 Honda Recon ATV (250cc). I always wanted a storage that is waterproof. There is also a rear back rest pad that makes it more comfortable for the rear passenger. The item does not come with instructions, but the u-bolts are self-explanatory. I placed the storage box onto the rear rack of my ATV and centered it, making a mental note of where it lay in regards to the edges of the rack. I then removed the rack and placed it onto the upside down storage box and marked the holes for the u bolts. Drilled with 9/32" drill bit. Inserted the u-bolts and flipped the unit over to bolt them into place. I then reinstalled the rack onto the ATV. You will need a 7/16" socket or wrench. There is a hi-density foam gasket inside of the channel where the lid and base meets. I believe this should provide a rain tight seal. There are lockable latches. The hinges are very similar to that of musical instrument hard cases. Kinda weird to use this style of latches on an ATV storage. The u bolts are zinc plated. Wish they were stainless steel. There are red reflectors on either side of the rear of the storage box.I will update my review as I use this more. Please see photos that I uploaded.
