Review on HMTECH 7" Raspberry Pi Monitor - Wall Mountable, Portable Gaming Monitor, PS4 Display, 60Hz HDMI by Chuck Arradondo

It works, has decent resolution for a small screen, good refresh rate, etc. But the colors. There aren't many of them. Even on my default Raspberry Pi OS desktop, I see tons of color bars. My desktop background is a golden sunset over some kind of temple with a green forest in the shadows below. The whole thing turns into multiple shades of red and orange with this display. And most of the darker colors are simply made pitch black. (Note: This is the same desktop wallpaper that is shown in this product's video demo and you can see the issue there as well.) I don't think it's "HD". I thought that I might have a marriage, but it looks the same in other user videos and pictures. This screen is good for coding, showing stats or information etc. However, it is NOT suitable for gaming or watching videos/photos. EDIT: *Rating updated from 2 to 4 stars* Actually, this screen isn't that bad. I mean it's still bad, but not THAT bad. Why did I think it looked so bad? This is because the screen can't properly communicate with the device it's connected to, leaving you with only the standard resolution (with the wrong aspect ratio) and the wrong encoding setting. Because of this, the screen is stretched and colors are limited. If you are using a Raspberry Pi, you can fix this by adding the following lines to the end of /boot/config.txthdmi_pixel_encoding=1hdmi_group=2hdmi_mode=87hdmi_force_mode=1hdmi_cvt=800 480 60. I don't know how to fix Windows, probably don't buy this screen for use with Windows.
