Very soft. My daughter loves them! I bought a couple of fruit thermal machines and they were like sandpaper by comparison unless I washed them. They were also almost the same price as these two packs for a pair. I first ordered them in a fourth size, they turned out quite small. They are perfect for my 3 year old. I then ordered gray and white in a size 5/6 for my extremely petite 5 year old, they are a bit loose for wearing under pants but doable. The 5/6 in this brand was the same size as the fourth size Loom fruit. The first pair I ordered had a small hole in the inseam on one of the pants. Easy to fix but annoying. That didn't stop me from ordering another set. Overall a great purchase and comfortable. We wear both pajamas and long underwear.
