Review on Extremus 421 Hydration Vacuum Insulated Water Bottle: Ultimate Stainless Steel Double Wall Thermos, 17 Oz, Leakproof Top, Carry Strap & Bottle Boot by Terry Moore

Overall I find this water bottle to be elegant, attractive and very well made; However, I think there is room for improvement. Don't get me wrong - it does exactly what it says on the tin: holds water. It does not leak and the wrist strap is convenient for carrying. I have two minor complaints about this particular product: 1.) The cap is not attached to the water bottle in any way and there is no way to secure it. It's easy to put the cap somewhere while I'm filling the bottle and forget to take it out when I'm done. It will only be a matter of time before I close the lid, then I probably won't need it anymore. 2.) In my opinion, the mouth is a bit small. I know this is very subjective, but I prefer a bottle with a neck big enough to put ice cubes in the water. I planned to fill the bottle with ice and measure how long the ice stayed under different environmental conditions to test the insulation and then include that in my rating. But I couldn't even fit an ice cube in the bottle. I know some people prefer a smaller mouth, which is why I didn't deduct any stars for this question. But unless you have plenty of cold water all the time, you'll probably enjoy it at room temperature. Overall, this is a solid product, but these little issues can make it so much better. It would also be better if it was bigger. Again, this is subjective and a smaller size would definitely have its place, but I simply prefer the large size because I drink a lot of water and don't want to feel like I have to keep topping it up.
