I have owned and used "shortwave" radios for many years. . . This radio has everything you could want from such a radio. Not only all shortwave and longwave bands, but also AM and FM (stereo). Long range, reception and reliable. Although tuning the radio takes some time, it is well worth the time and effort. Many functions are integrated for easy operation and maintenance. This little radio has (2) speakers for a true standalone "stereo" effect. There is also an additional headphone jack for private listening. The cost is the most reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend this unit if you want to go beyond "AM and FM radio only".
