We LOVE this duvet cover! Worth every penny.

Love love love this duvet cover! My husband loves it too. We bought it in white and it's the perfect shade of soft white (no bluish undertones). It's definitely NOT cream colored as some reviewers have mentioned. In summer we have a solid ivory duvet on the bed and very soft ivory sheets. Next to them it is white, but soft white. We love mixing white and ivory/cream in our bedroom and it pairs beautifully with this bedspread. A few years ago, when it seemed like everything from sheets to blankets to curtains was made out of "microfiber," I was totally put off. . I chose 100% cotton and linen, the preferred material for textiles in our home. Well I recently decided to buy a duvet for our boys winter duvets which were still very nice but no longer matched their decor. I was so impressed with the softness and texture (and they love their comforters) that I decided to revisit the microfiber comforters for our master bedroom white winter comforter. Enter this beautiful find. This blanket is almost like a washed one - it's soft as butter and looks and feels like super soft cotton that's been washed many times. It's not hot (my husband and I overheat easily because the fabric is too heavy/not breathable). With our winter blanket inside, it keeps us just the right amount of warmth. And it's so incredibly gentle on your skin. A few things we did to make this duvet perfect: 1. Wash straight out of the box and tumble dry on medium heat. No scented soaps, just fragrance free and dry with wool dryer balls, no dryer sheets. No static cling which is great.2. I spread the duvet cover inside out on our living room floor. Then cut the satin ribbon loops in half at the 4 corners so we can use them as ribbons for our quilt. After cutting the loop, I quickly fed each piece of tape through the flame to keep the ends from fraying. This allowed us to secure the 4 corners of our duvet inside the duvet (our alternative duvet doesn't have ties, and swapping bed loops for ties makes it easy to tie the corners of the duvet about 1.1cm up). /2 inches).3. I spread our blanket over the blanket and tied each of the corners. Then I pulled the blanket out from the outside in and shook it to make it fluffy, then put it back on the clean floor.4. Time for decorative ties. For the soft, no-frills look we wanted, I gently pulled each ribbon down so it started to pull in the duvet fabric. This will not allow you to see where the ties attach to the blanket and will cause the fabric to pucker/pucker slightly at each tie. Then I loosely tied each knot a second time. After that I tied a bow on each one. I was able to tie the bow without undoing the second knot, but since I wanted the fabric to be pulled into the first knot, I could tell the bows would untie if I didn't double-knot them first. Looks sooo good!5. Time to put him to bed! I fluffed the comforter and duvet back up as I brought her to our room. I found it lays better if you place it with the "open" edge of the bottom of the envelope (with ribbons/loops) on the bottom. That's all. That looks great! (Oh, and tie off the hem of the pillow the same way we tied the blanket, the edge of fabric is pulled so tight at each tie that you can't see where the tie and edge of fabric meet.) I must point out that one of the reviewers said it looks nothing like the picture. Okay, you have to understand that the stock photo quilt that is inside her duvet is very fluffy, with the stitching on the box giving it a wavy look. If your quilt has no seams and is flat, your quilt will not look like the picture. Our alternative duvet is medium fluffy with a slightly different pattern than the stitching and looks so pretty in this duvet. We love a casual look, so our beds are imperfectly made, with soft sheets, fluffy pillows, etc. That's why they're inviting. I was able to achieve this 100% with this king size duvet cover on my alternate king size duvet.
