I bought this backpack: 1) As hand luggage in Europe and for day hikes in the Alps. 2) Like a laptop bag when you get home. All without spending a lot of money. Overall this is really a very good package for the money. No shortage of features and pockets for travel and business use. If I could make one adjustment though, it would be extra padding on the shoulder straps. They're not the most comfortable with heavy loads (about 50 pounds), but the chest strap helps a lot. Over the years I have owned many high quality backpacks including the more expensive Victorinox models. This package is on par with some of the best I've had.
