I bought two different brands of iPod speakers, both of which I returned to the store. I couldn't believe how awful the sound was and I paid over $100 for each. (one was Memorex, the other was an Apple brand) I was finally ready to spend the big bucks and buy a Bose. I read a customer review (here on Revain) and the guy suggested trying "Altec Lansing inMotion iM7". He said it sounded amazing, just as good as Bose (and a lot cheaper) but with a few more desirable features that Bose seemed to lack. So I took him at his word. I'm so glad I did. Don't waste your money on anything else. You will be disappointed. The sound of the Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 is INCREDIBLE. It's hard to believe that such a clear (and loud) sound could come out of such a small boombox. And from what I've seen, it's one of the few that really lets you control the bass and treble. The bass is really great. The remote is the smallest and sleekest I've ever seen. I worry if it will last or not. Seems very fragile. I'll search the web for a second remote just to have a backup handy. It looks like other iPod speakers have the same remote controls. The 2 I returned came with remote controls which were just as nifty. Although that would be my ONLY complaint. But the remote seems to work fine. One more thing, don't forget to look around for prices. I saw it online for between $264 and $159. Raven of course. I actually bought a refurbished one from Revain for $98! Which is still covered by the 1-year factory warranty. What a THIEF! I will listen to my Altec Lansing inMotion iM7!
