My Favorite Purchase for El Camino de Santiago

I walked El Camino de Santiago for the first time a few months ago. This was a really last minute purchase, after I talked to a Camino veteran who urged me that relying on hostel sheets was a bad idea.Firstly, she was right: the hostel sheets did not cut it, and a lot of hostels did not provide sheets at all. So I used this liner. It wasn’t silk - it was better. Just as soft and silky, but never felt sweaty. Talk about quick drying! Even after being soaked by my sweat and rain and flooding it always got dry. It is super wide, which never made my legs feel restricted with some coffin-type liners. Plus, it rolled up into the palm of my hand, and weighed almost nothing. It felt like bringing a forbidden luxury item to the simple living of the trails.Out of my whole backpack, this was my most favorite piece of gear.

Pros
  • Comes in a range of vibrant colors to suit your personal style
Cons
  • Produces annoying rustling sounds when moving around
