Great PC on Minis

It's a nifty little PC and a little more responsive than I thought something of this size could be. After tweaking and uninstalling some pre-installed Windows 10 programs and apps that I don't use, I went online (didn't connect when I originally installed Windows) and poked around to see how well it handles multiple edge tabs open at the same time. He managed it quite well without putting a heavy load on the processor or memory. I then watched a couple of 1080p Youtube videos and both played great. No pixelation or hiccups. The sound was also very good when using my USB headphones. The device boots surprisingly quickly and is quite responsive. Opening programs/applications is fast. Onboard storage, while not big or fast NVMe, isn't bad for a device of this size. Not quite the speed of a SATA SSD, but better than a typical eMMC and pretty good for such a small PC. WiFi worked great for me. The default is 5GHz, but I've also tried using it at 2.4GHz and both times the WiFi had a solid connection to my router. And although I don't normally use a wired connection since my router is in the next room, I used a 25ft LAN cable to try it out and it worked great. and when it got a little warmer under load, the fan was able to keep it at a reasonable temperature and then bring it back up to idle temperature relatively quickly after the load dropped. The fan itself is quiet and I had to get pretty close to the unit to really hear it running. Just out of curiosity and to see how well it would work I downloaded and installed Steam and my old game Half-Life 2. To my surprise, it played really well. There were no issues with buffering or frame rates. It looked just as smooth as it did on my Ryzen 5 desktop. Sure, Half-Life 2 isn't a new game and it's not very graphically intensive, but for such a small PC that can run an old but still great-looking game, it's already pretty good . . I found it lacked a 3.5mm audio/mic jack, but using my USB headset negated that need. It's likely that with the addition of a fan, there just isn't enough room to connect it. And they make inexpensive USB adapters when a 3.5mm port is needed, so it's not a big deal. The device comes with Windows 10 Pro, although I prefer the Home version due to the Pro's ability to manage Windows updates. Group Policy Editor settings. All in all it's a pretty good stick computer and it's perfect for basic everyday tasks and even a bit more.
