Firstrend 8 Channel Video Surveillance System

I bought model #FTUS-WNK84102T-JG SC-4PCS 1080P Camera-2TB HDD-1 8CH NVR 3.6MM. I bought 2 additional Firstrend 1080P cameras to fully cover the exterior of my house for $65 each. Firstrend also recommended a $30.99 2.4GHz 4W 802.11 WiFi signal booster to extend the range of the antenna as I was having trouble with intermittent signal coverage. Initially, the documents provided were too small and very confusing. I had several calls with Daisy and she was wonderful, very helpful and very kind. Daisy recently sent me the newly released user manual (Firstrend Wireless Camera System User Manual-888-806-1588.pdf), which is written in much better English, covers more topics and solves a common problem that many buyers have complained about . in previous reviews. The device makes a very well-made and reliable impression. I had an issue with the antenna connector on one of the cameras and Daisy quickly replaced the camera and the new unit worked great. I read in the original instructions that the antenna needs to be tightened - just don't overtighten or you might tear the rails off - this is probably partly my fault due to the way the instructions are written. The image quality is very good day and night. The camera's power cord is about 3m long, and depending on the installation location, connecting power outlets to the cameras may be difficult depending on your experience level. If you're using an amplifier to boost your Wi-Fi signal, the cable on the amplifier is just over 3 feet long. So when I connected these devices to power, I placed them in a double box with an outer bubble lid. I used the same dual-mount weatherproof housing when I placed two cameras close together. Firstrend recommends placing the cameras at least 1.50m apart. Before installing outside the home, make sure all cameras are connected and working. Adding a camera or two is easy if you have channels on the NVR that support them. Daisy pointed out that the 2 terabyte hard drive in the DVR I bought would automatically record up to 8 channels/cameras for 2 weeks and then overwrite the drive starting with the oldest files. Wi-Fi connection is absolutely necessary. It took me a while to figure out the jobs of some cameras where the signal problem was consistently severe. I found that moving the camera to the end of a gutter or other camera to the top of a 7ft fence away from the house gave a strong signal even without an amplifier. The other camera got a good strong signal which flickered on and off intermittently when using the recommended booster. I've attached some photos taken during installation. The TV screenshot shows a typical view while watching the cameras and was taken at night in the rain. Conclusion – I don't think it's very easy to install, but if you take your time and do it right, it's not a difficult system to install and you'll have a top-notch camera system that will protect you and your home, which is what all buyers do want. I highly recommend this product.
