No sound degradation. I am using this cable with V Moda M100 headphones and am concerned about signal loss. I have purchased Mediabridge cables in the past and have always been satisfied. This made this purchase an easy task for me. The cable is thick and well shielded. Due to its high quality shielded design, it does not generate static electricity from any source. My devices are Pioneer Elite VSX-90 AV Receivers, V Moda Coiled Extension and V Moda M100 Headphones. Note one thing: audio (and video) cables need a "break/warm-up" period when they're brand new. Believe it. After 1-2 hours of non-stop loud playback, I can't say I'm using an extension cord. The soundstage is warm, full, divided and detailed. That is a good thing! Mediabridge products rock.
