One of the best sounds I have ever heard

I could be called a music lover but I'm not a big fan of flat sound either, I like a strong live base. These sound better than other headphones I've had and there have been many. I had Sennheiser Momentum, The Bose Quiet Comfort. Two Blue Lola and MoFi and most recently the Sony WH-1000m2 which were my favorites until I got them. Right out of the box I liked them, which is unusual as I'm usually a fan of headphones, until they warm up a bit (around 50 hours is a good time break). These are the most bass-heavy, full-range rather than overhead, but sonically straight-forward with excellent instrument separation, almost like the feel of surround sound when watching a movie. There's an extremely wide soundstage (almost a surround sound effect, I noticed), with cleaner mids, highs and vocals than the Sony, and tight but dynamic punchy bass you can feel. I've never owned V-Moda headphones, but I'm aware of their reputation among amateurs and musicians alike (DJs are particularly fond of V-Modas, and I can understand why), and unlike many other companies, with the exception of maybe Shure , most parts are replaced with easily accessible accessories such as 3 button, 1 button, mic cables and are indeed under warranty. They seem extremely stable. However the optional 3 button cable doesn't seem to be as thick and durable as the 1 button cable but the sound is much better but time will tell if this particular cable holds up and I have the 1 button cable that comes with it. Standard if they eventually break (although I have a warranty on the cable and headphones). They are also very handy and come with a nice hard case. For the money, these are probably the best in-ear headphones you can get.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
