I was looking for a not-too-modern but updated polished nickel faucet because I'm changing plumbing. They were dated when they arrived (the builder must have had a warehouse full of '80s fixtures and built the house 20 years later. Phew.) So I'm switching from shiny chrome to softer brushed nickel. I already have Moen chrome fittings as there were no towel rails in the house, just a standard spring-loaded plastic toilet roll holder. Ironically, the ones I liked the most were the same as the last ones I bought, so I can leave the base plates in place, just remove the set screw and install the matte hardware in their place. You are a bit thin; If you want a more luxurious, heavier look, there are more modern versions, but they go really well with my decor.
