I've been using Panasonic hair clippers for years and decided to try something different. One problem with this type of trimmer is that if you drop it and bend the tip (AT ALL), it will stop working. So after an "Oops" they generally fail. I'm clumsy and tired of shelling out $20 every few months for a Panasonic version. This one is about half the price but slightly larger. Both work very well with no issues or issues. This one is bigger because it uses an AA battery instead of an AA battery, which means it *should* last a little longer. I was interested in the LED light as it would make navigating the inner edges of the nostril cavity a little easier to get that pesky tickle, but unfortunately it doesn't really illuminate anything. Still, I love this trimmer and would buy another for its price and performance.
