Great for outdoors on my review.
I bought these walkie talkies for using for out door family adventures. We used them on the beach and in the home and work fairly well so far. We are going on a camping trip and plan to use these to communicate with each other if we seperate. One thing I would suggest is getting better rechargeable batteries for the walkie talkies then the ones that came in the box. Overall, the quality is good and features like the call button and LED light will come in handy. These are exactly what I was looking for.
