I wasn't aware that many brands in my local pet stores were labeled "Dietary Supplements Only" until I photographed the fine print and enlarged it to a legible font size. At this point, my car was littered with Applaws and other "limited ingredient" cat foods that were delicious and very good quality, but not formulated for their daily diet. Since we gave up this treat-only diet, we've tried all the high-quality brands at multiple stores. I keep a log of how my 3 year old cat reacts to each one.
