I bought it for camping but the sliding lid doesn't close properly. Even when used in a regular kitchen, your spices will dry out. We packed our shaker on the Thursday night before the trip. On Saturday morning we had to scrape the garlic powder and chili powder out of the shaker with a knife. We used cling film to keep the spices from falling apart in transit, but that didn't stop them from sticking together. The idea is great, but the goods are cheap Chinese junk.
