I usually buy pillowcases in one color but I couldn't resist this pattern. I learned the hard way that it's better to buy a queen size for a standard pillow because of the zipper. This leaves some room for a simple zipper. Also, I like the zipper better than the crease and I will only buy zippered pillowcases from now on. Silk is a lot easier to care for than most people think. I wash all my silks on the gentle cycle with cold water and some Ivory liquid soap. Then I either steam it or iron it to smooth out the creases and soften it. The only thing about this print is that it looks much lighter in the picture than in real life. It's still beautiful, but the colors are much more muted. When my other silk pillowcases wear out, I replace them with new ones.
